Thank you to all our Corporate Partners who provide ongoing support for Shine:

Suncorp New Zealand awarded DVFREE Tick

In 2018, Suncorp employees partnered with Shine as part of Suncorp’s community giving program, Brighter Futures. This program inspires and enables Suncorp employees to make a difference in the communities where they live and work. Through volunteering, fundraising and donating, Suncorp employees are helping Shine to make more New Zealand homes violence free.

Westpac was instrumental in helping Shine develop an online education portal for businesses to raise awareness of domestic violence issues, and it was the very first business to be awarded the DVFREE Tick – an accreditation run by Shine acknowledging the bank’s comprehensive domestic violence programme. Westpac’s ongoing support of Shine over many years has seen staff regularly take part in Shine’s annual fundraising campaign, sign up to payroll giving and take part in initiatives benefiting Shine.

From the head office to branches around the country, and from the CEO to the frontline staff, Westpac is standing up against domestic violence.

Shine has been a charity partner of the Vodafone Warriors since 2012, and the Warriors especially support KIDshine.  We are so grateful for the many opportunities we have through the Warriors, including players in our TV ads, doing school visits, and appearing in our promotional collateral, as well as our fundraising at a Warriors’ home game every year. We are proud of this ground-breaking partnership with a major New Zealand male sports team.

Soar has sponsored Shine’s printing for a number of campaigns and projects in recent years. Soar understands the challenges faced by not-for-profit organisations better than any other printer. Soar has been working with charities, trusts, sports groups and community organisations for years, helping them to make their print budgets go further and do more. Every print project we take on adds to our store of knowledge, so we’ve becoming something of a ‘holding house’ for best-practice NFP print management.

“If I had taken up the course sooner, I would not have ended up in my current situation. This programme has changed my perspective towards domestic violence.”

“I’m the safest I’ve ever felt. I’m now sleeping through the night. I walk freely without fear. He knows there’s a whole lot of support for me and he can’t do it anymore.”

— a Shine client

“I would not have made it this far without Shine’s support. Shine helped me when I hit bottom and there was no hope, then supported me with everything, before and after the birth of my son. You gave me the strength to stand on my feet and look forward when I was miserable and suicidal. I have my life and freedom back as I have a new warm and safe place and my ex-partner is in prison. Thank you for saving my life and my son’s life!!”

— a Shine client

“I feel good that I know if something happens, I can go to my friend’s house. I talk to mum more about what might happen if dad comes to our house.”

— 11-year-old KIDshine client
