  • DVFREE Workshop: Creating Effective Domestic Violence Policy & Procedures

DVFREE Workshop: Creating Effective Domestic Violence Policy & Procedures
    From $97.75

Learn from an expert about the critical components, and the do’s and don’ts, of creating domestic violence policy and procedures for your organisation

NOTE: It is highly recommended to read our FREE Guidelines for Policy and Procedures before attending this workshop, in order to get the most out of your participation.

This workshop, and our DVFREE Guidelines for Policy and Procedures will help you get started on your domestic violence workplace policy and procedures in order to: create a safe and supportive workplace for staff who experience domestic violence; prepare to manage staff who perpetrate domestic violence safely and appropriately; and help all your staff gain a better understanding of the issue to know how to help a colleague or someone outside of work.

In this workshop, one of our experts will walk you through the critical components of domestic violence workplace policy and procedures, and answer your questions.

For March 2019 workshops only, you’ll also hear from a Bell Gully lawyer about relevant legal issues, particularly around managing staff who perpetrate domestic violence, and ensuring your organisation is not discriminating against employees affected by domestic violence.

It is tricky to get it right - domestic violence thrives on myths and misunderstandings. Advice from the experts at Shine can make a big difference in the content and effectiveness of your policy and procedures.

An alternative to this workshop is individualized support with the purchase of an initial 2-hour policy consultation with one of our experts for $290+GST (discounted from our usual consultation fee of $360+GST for 2 hours).

If you are considering working towards our DVFREE Tick employer accreditation, this workshop can help you decide if this is the pathway you want to go down.

Our free online learning module is another excellent learning resource that you can make available to your staff.

You can also purchase a First Responder training for your group of up to 20 First Responders on a fee for service basis, or send up to four of your staff to our DVFREE ‘First Responder’ Domestic Violence Training that will now run every 2-3 months in Auckland and Wellington. We can also deliver training for your managers, and awareness sessions for your staff.
