V DAY - The Vagina Monologues, 22 & 23 March

As part of this year’s global V-Day movement to end violence against women and girls, a local team of dedicated women are bringing Eve Ensler’s award-winning play “The Vagina Monologues” to Auckland for two nights only. All proceeds from the performances will go to support Shine.

Don’t miss out on seeing the play that broke taboos when it was first performed in 1994. With remarkable humour and style, it continues to inspire women to take back control of their bodies and their lives.

Based on playwright and activist Eve Ensler’s interviews with women, the play addresses women's sexuality and the social stigma surrounding rape and abuse, creating a new conversation about and with women.

When: 22nd & 23rd March, 7.30pm
Where: The Auckland Performing Arts Centre – TAPAC, 100 Motions Road, Western Springs, Auckland

Come, be part of this unique event that is so much more than a play: It’s a revolutionary call for action to stop the violence now. Join us!

“This is by no means an easy job, with the volunteers having to face very sensitive situations head on. Shine’s volunteers get a chance to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by domestic violence.”
