SAFTINET
Safer Auckland Families Through Intervention Network
Shine coordinates SAFTINET. This forum helps to set up policies and practices to promote the safety of victims and hold abusers accountable for their violence. SAFTINET coordinates and monitors a seamless approach to domestic violence cases between government and community agencies. It also monitors those agencies’ adherence to these policies. Gaps in services are identified and strategies to improve are negotiated.
SAFTINET's key member agencies include Department for Courts, Police, Community Probation, Department for Child, Youth and Family Services, Women’s Refuge and support groups, Children's Crisis and Stopping Violence programmes.
