Shine presented recently at the national Family Works Social Workers in Schools Conference about Shine's work with children who have witnessed domestic abuse, and more generally about how to talk to children about domestic abuse.  > Read more.

KIDshine Coordinator Donna Williamson delivered two workshops at the conference STEP UP FOR CHILDREN: Sharing Responsibility to Keep Children Safe, held 7-8 May 2012 on the North Shore of Auckland . The conference addressed issues of child abuse and neglect with a special focus on family violence, and was supported by Shine and a number of other organisations.  Donna focused on the effects on children of witnessing domestic violence between parents; she has excellent feedback from participants about her workshops.
