Just for Kids
Home is meant to be a place where we can feel safe, comfortable and loved. While it’s normal for people in relationships to disagree sometimes, it’s important to know that there is a difference between arguing and fighting with each other and behaviour that is abusive. If you are starting to feel unsafe in your house, or are worried that one of your parents might hurt the other one, or may even hurt you, it’s likely that something is wrong.
We think that everyone should be able to feel safe in their own homes and loved. It’s important to remember that you are not to blame for what’s going on in your home or family and to know that there are people out there who can help make things better for you.
If you are worried about yourself or a friend of yours or maybe would like some more information about what’s going on, please go to www.thehideout.org.uk.
