Living with an abusive partner or family member is always difficult and usually lonely. Shine wants to make sure that anyone experiencing domestic abuse in New Zealand has a place to turn and someone to talk to. People who use abusive behaviours with family members and make a decision to change their behaviour also need help and support to do this.

In Auckland, the Shine Safe House offers short-term accommodation for women and their children who are at risk of further harm from domestic abuse. Women's refuges provide safe short term accommodation throughout the country.
